Spend a night in the desert from Agadir
Spend a night in the desert
Departure at 7:30 a.m. from your hotel, heading south along the Atlantic coast and admiring the beautiful desert landscape and discover one of the most authentic fishing villages in the region consisting of troglodyte houses and traditional fishing boats; once arrived at the park of Souss Massa national park, one of Morocco’s most significant national parks and bird heaven. Migratory birds fly down here from Europe during the winter period, an amazing place to discover flora and fauna during a family outing. .Stop at the dam to admire the beautiful view, and then continue towards the town of Tiznit; very famous for its Berber silver jewelry (optional visit), then on to Sidi Ifni, (ex-Spanish enclave); lunch on site (specialty fish: grilled sardines, and others...), after lunch, continue to Guelmim, nicknamed “the door of the desert”.
In the late afternoon, a visit to the oasis Elborj, the largest palm grove of the region is a must. After the visit, a trip on camel back will take you to your bivouac in the sand dunes in a caravan, once arrived at the camp you’ll be served a well deserved mint tea accompanied by Moroccan pastry and dried fruit after which to enjoy the sunset and the beautiful lights of the desert on the golden sand dunes.
Back to the bivouac for dinner under the beautiful stars followed by the Sahrawi music show performed by young locals of the region around a camp fire; overnight in a nomad tent to experience and appreciate firsthand the living conditions of the locals.
The next day and after breakfast, back to
the oasis on camel back or by 4x4 vehicles depending on availability; visit
some archaeological sites along the way and continue your journey back to Agadir.
